Stan Goldberg was a very known American comic book artist for his work with Archie Comics and as a Marvel Comics colorist who in the 60's helped with designing the color schemes for Spider Man, Fantastic Four, X-men, Incredible Hulk and many others. He unfortunately passed away on Sunday at the age of 82 years old.

He started working at the age of 16 years old as a colorist for Timely Comics, which eventually will become Marvel Comics.

Goldberg famously drew Archie's portion of the 1994 crossover "Archie Meets the Punisher." He was inducted into the National Cartoonists Society Hall of Fame in 2011.

Stan Lee said: "You weren't just a great cartoonist, you were the greatest guy to work with,[...] No matter how tough the script, no matter how quick the deadline, you always did a great job on time, and you never complained. [...] Finally, I gotta say, you were not only a great cartoonist, but a great friend."
