Patty Jenkins, writer and director of the much buzzed about film Monster, will be taking over the coveted director slot behind DC's Wonder Woman set to hit theaters in 2017.

Originally having pegged Michelle MacLaren to head the project Warner Bros cited “creative differences” for dropping her from the film. Jenkins will be the first woman to direct a major superhero movie - something we feel is long overdue.  Joining Jenkins on this flick is our favorite modern day warrior Gal Gadot. We'll get our first look at Gadot as Wonder Woman in the heavily anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

What do you think? Did WB make the right move choosing Jenkins or are you upset to see MacLaren's departure?
