Yesterday we told you that Harrison Ford would return as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. Today, we’ve learned that Han, Luke, and Leia are all expected to appear in the new episode – but not in leading roles. The new Star Wars will feature the old cast as the older Star Wars generation. The children of these characters will take the main stage.

So, there you have it. The new Star Wars will follow the lives of Solo and Leia’s children (Anakin, Jaina, and Jacen) and Luke’s son, Ben. It’s hard to know what to think of the upcoming film. Is the franchise being stretched too thin? Do we really need (or want) to see what Jaina, Jacen, Anakin, and Ben are up to?

The new episode should pick up right where the last one left off. The “kids” will likely be in their late 20s to early 30s, so the roles of Solo, Leia, and Luke will be largely minimized. Hopefully, we won’t be subjected to too much sage advice from mom and dad, but you never know. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!
